Laureate head of Gaius right / Draped bust of Agrippina Senior right; A (date) above ET to right. Prieur 63a; McAlee 221 (this coin cited and illustrated); RPC 4164 var. (pellet to left of Agrippina's bust); RPC Suppl. I 4164 (this coin cited). VF, lightly toned, obverse and reverse die breaks, light scratches and marks. Struck from worn dies. Rare. From the Michel Prieur Collection. Ex Richard McAlee Collection; Hirsch 185 (15 February 1995), lot 701. Though listed by Prieur, McAlee, and the authors of RPC as missing the usual dot behind the bust of Agrippina Senior, under magnification there are traces of what may be the dot.
